Em`s Cafe in Coldwater

A visit to Ems always puts a smile on our family’s face! Thanks for the great food and beverage!

Friendly staff, cozy decor and great coffee. We are staying just outside town at a cottage for our honeymoon and have come here to relax almost every day. We have had: paninis, soups (with a cheese bread), coffee, cafe mocha, chai late, blueberry peach crumble and peanut butter cups. We were called out on having a "spot" already, lounging in the front window. We feel comfortable here and wish it was closer to our daily lives.

This is the perfect spot for a coffee, tea, snack or a lunch. If you're cycling in the area, it's a great stop for this cycle friendly café with a bike rack. If you're riding the Simcoe County Trail Loop, be sure to stop in here. The lunch I ended up having was a BLT and a Long John. My wife and I split a large BLT and had a Long John for desert. Perfect for completing the ride to Orillia (coming from Midland).

Sometimes I take a break from the city to visit my in-laws in charming and scenic Coldwater. Em's is restful, the coffee drinks here are perfectly made, and the wi-fi is reliable. A good place to sit and read the news in the morning.

What a great little cafe had a awesome lunch great service

Waited way too long to visit this cafe! Absolutely love it, small menu but everything on it is to die for it! Definitely recommend the brownies. Cute atmosphere and nice place for a lunch date. Prices are a bit steep but reasonable. Would recommend:)

When I visit my grandparents, we like to go to Em's Cafe. It is a great place for casual, homemade soup and sandwich. Last time I was here, which was on Sunday of this week, I ordered the chicken salad sandwich special with cream of mushroom soup and it was delicious. Real chicken in the salad - none of that canned or processed stuff like at Subway - and grapes and green apple were a unique and surprising addition.The service has always been excellent and the atmosphere is friendly and laid-back. Not to mention the cool wooden tables!I will continue to frequent Em's Cafe and would warmly encourage others to do the same.

Can’t say enough good things about this cute little cafe. From their unique drinks, to the non-dairy options, to the fact that they named a drink after the barber next door (that drink was really good actually). This place has been consistently great since we started coming 4 months ago. We are “regulars” now. It’s our morning go to when we are in the area. Great job Em’s.

Love the place, food is great, staff super....brought relatives from Holland on two occasions while they were visiting us in Midland...they loved the atmosphere....I learned our great MPP Jill Dunlop and her township councillor mom Jane are known to frequent Em’s on occasion. You can’t ask for better public servants as this mother-daughter team...they sure believe in community service. I digress....if you haven’t stopped in at Em’s, shame on you.

Always stop in on our cycling rides when we can. Great coffee and love the atmosphere. Unfortunately the late opening on a Sunday isn't great. Even a 9am opening in the summer months would be better. Regardless... Love this place!

I love the blueberry iced tea and variety of other drinks and treats. They always have amazing gift ideas as well. I really appreciate that they are so cycling friendly and have bicycle parking while you enjoy a refreshment. My favourite thing about Em’s is the wonderful, friendly service you get. Kathy, Dan and their team are sure to make you feel welcome and appreciated as a customer. If you haven't been before I’d also highly recommend the peanut butter cups!

Thank you to Kathy and her Staff for doing such a great job. The food and Coffee is always top notch. Their Covid protocols make you feel safe and extremely confident that everything is sanitized and clean as they are going above any beyond. They are so welcoming, my daughters hockey team came in for lunch one day and they accommodated everyone with a smile. You cant find a better place.

+++++ yummy sandwiches, home made pastries. A real small town cafe run by people who make you feel welcome and who know how to cook. Our new regular lunch stop en route to the cottage. Small selection of very cute crafts too.

Great coffee, even better eats! Tijuana tuna and chicken salad sandwiches are a must have. Home made soups served daily are an excellent choice.

Great experience. I went for lunch with a friend and we each had a busy boy to bring along. Em's served a child approved grilled cheese and treated us moms with an amazing grilled panini. Way to go Em's.

Great little cafe in Coldwater! The panini sandwiches were great, I love the meatloaf panini and kids love the grilled cheese. Soup and cheese bread were great as well

Cute little cafe. Very clean and friendly staff. Fresh made sanwhichs to order. I like that they have fair trade coffee which was delicious. Homemade peanut butter cups were melt in your melt. Vacationing in the area would definitely make a detour toColdwater to make a return trip to Em's Cafe

I asked for a machiatto...they gave me something that resembled a cappuccino but tasted like no espresso based coffee I have ever had. Then I got chastised for not speaking loud enough along with another customer...as we were filling the covid rules and were masked up. Coulda justed asked me politely to speak up but small town people seem to get upset quickly.

Cute little cafe in Coldwater. I'd give 5 stars if they were open before 11:30 on a Sunday.
